I am a Red Team Lead with over 13 years in cyber security, including 8 years leading high-end threat-led operations under CBEST and similar frameworks. My experience is grounded in working with UK Tier 1 financial institutions and other highly regulated sectors.

In 2024, I was awarded a CREST Fellowship – the organisation’s highest individual accolade – for long-term contributions to security research, tooling, and knowledge sharing.

CURRENT ROLE

As the Head of Offensive Security at Miles, I am architecting the firm’s cyber security testing capability from the ground up. This involves defining the strategy, building the team, and engineering the systems required to deliver high-assurance security outcomes.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe the most effective security leaders remain practitioners. That is why I also serve as the Principal Security Consultant on key engagements.

This hybrid approach ensures clients get the direct benefit of deep, hands-on experience in red teaming and adversary simulation, while keeping my strategic advice grounded in real-world execution.

THE MOVE TO NORWAY

In 2025, I relocated from the UK to Norway to take on a specific challenge. After over a decade operating in the hyper-adversarial environment of London’s financial sector, I observed a paradox during visits to the Nordics: while the digital infrastructure is highly advanced, the offensive security market appeared less mature compared to the UK’s regulated sectors.

This presented a clear opportunity. Adversaries do not respect borders, yet defensive rigour often varies by geography.

I saw a chance to bring the threat-led methodologies normally reserved for global Tier 1 banks to the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) that form the backbone of the Norwegian economy. My goal is to ensure that “security maturity” is not just a luxury for the largest corporations, but a standard accessible to any business facing modern threats.
